NEED A SPECIAL SHAPE? WE WILL CUSTOM CUT IT FOR YOU. CUTTING DIE INSTRUCTIONS: 
If you can draw a line that connects we can make a die to match it."Send us an accurately detailed pattern, blueprint or sample piece to be cut." If it's not critical you can provide a drawing with writen description and the dimentions required for size.
Holes must be indicated by size and location must be specificly marked for placement.
Drawing on graph paper works well.
Mail in all drawing and templets.
Only fax your image in order to receive a quote.If it's an image .. you need to capture the outside diameter and present it as the exact size that you require.
The Die Maker would prefer however a solid pattern cut out of a heavy card or paper stock.
Size of holes and locations must be marked precisley. ( this method reduces the cost of your die)Also a CAD CAM drawing or image is the best method.
We typicaly have two types of dies made for cutting leather shapes.
Normal belt grade leather is cut using 1/8" wide X 3/4" high presharp steel.
Sole grade dies are stronger using 3/16" wide X 1 1/4" high presharp steel. ( more expensive)
We can cut shapes up to 15" x 30"
Special orders can be cut up to 3' x 4'Some dies require a backing with reinforced bars. All dies come with rubber packing. Approximate cost for a single shape die approx. 2" x 4" with no holes is $50.00 |

There are other kinds, so you need to call them this. You can ask them to TYPE IT OUT, and fax you a proof, if you don't have any artwork. If you have artwork, e-mail it to them at art@augustinedie.com It can't be in a DOC, or a JPEG. They like EPS, TIFF, PDF, or AI. Tell them what size you want it in. From (top to botton), or (left to right), or both. It also has to be in camera ready artwork, and that means 100% black & white, no colors, greyscale or half tones. It has to be done in (line art, or a solid program). |
